*New* Urgent: Proposed Rule Changes to Census Require Your Feedback (due 10/13/26)

The White House and Office of Management and Budget issued proposed rule changes to the 2030 Census that is extraordinary and unprecedented, requiring comment and feedback. Those can be made until October 13 in the Federal Register. These comments can be made by individuals and organizations. For reference, here is a short summary about these changes
NPRM Title: Decennial Census of the Population of Americans; Proposed Residence Criteria and Regulations for Demographic Questions (15 CFR 60 and 15 CFR 70). These are a summary of the proposed changes by topic:
- A new definition of “usual residence.”
